Eight sushi, hibachi, Thai and Vietnamese restaurants inside Wilmington's city limits: downtown Front Street, Market Street, College Road and Barclay.

Last checked Oct. 11, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Sushi and Asian food inside Wilmington’s city limits clusters in two places: downtown on South Front Street, where two sushi restaurants share a block, and along Market Street and College Road in Midtown, where hibachi steakhouses, a sushi bar across from Target and a Thai and Vietnamese cafe sit within a few miles of each other. Another sushi bar is at The Pointe at Barclay.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Wilmington’s city limits, the data that also feeds our local directory, plus places in the Downtown Wilmington dining directory. We checked each one against its own website on Oct. 11, 2026, and checked each address against the city limits with the U.S. Census Bureau’s address lookup. Several Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants in the city have no website we could find, and the state’s restaurant inspection database was down when we checked, so they are not listed yet. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
